Baptizing Children

When it comes to baptizing children, the House of GOD is confused about who, how and why.  Some do it out of tradition, some out of believed knowledge of the word and some not at all because they believe it is not necessary.  Let us explore the word of GOD for understanding and clarity of the matter by the word of GOD.

(1 Corinthians 7:12-14);  But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; BUT NOW ARE THEY HOLY.

In the Old Testament,  the children didn't have to do anything to belong to GOD other than the male child being circumcised on the eighth day of birth.  The child's heritage was that they are born into being a Hebrew because their father and or mother were Hebrews.  There was no understanding needed on their part nor acceptance or denial of the circumcision.  They were counted and accepted as one of GOD'S children.  As in the Old, so it is in the New.  As long as the requirement is met for the child, they are accepted.

In (1 Corinthians 7:14), the requirment is for one parent in the marriage to be a child of GOD, and as the marriage is sanctified, blessed, the child who was unclean, now are they made Holy.  They are Holy before GOD and as a child their spiritual status and external home with GOD is secure.  Again, as a child, under the conditions of one parent being a child of GOD that CHILD, if they should die, is spiritual safe or ok.  Though there may be many variations, what ifs and layers that can be talked about, there is no need for that child to be baptized.

There are many godly children our Father might show you are anointed by GOD for a higher or special purpose in life, like Samuel.  Or even being used as a child, like David.  This does not mean we need to baptize them.  Samuel nor David had to do anything extra or special to be accepted in their purpose as children.  Some might say I will baptize the child anyway.  Then I say, go ahead.  It is not a sin nor can do no harm.  Go over all the scriptures, teaching the understanding.  Paul knew we were no longer under the law and preached that, but for the sake of others he circumcised Timotheus.  No harm done.

We should know that everything we do it should be done by the word of GOD or as the Spirit of GOD leads us.  It should never be what we think, feel or believe.   The Spirit of GOD will lead us to all truths, knowledge and understanding.   But, if we would search the scripture, the Spirit will give us the answers.   But with that child as with all children of GOD, once becoming an adult, they must understand, according to the word of GOD, for all that is called, there must be faith in Jesus Christ, (believing and receiving), repentance and baptisms, to be saved and Born Again.
