Renewing of Your Mind

Romans 12:1-2,  I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that you may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and prefect, will of God.

Once you become a Child of GOD and you have transitioned from the old man to new, Born Again, there is another transition that must take place and that is a renewing of your mind.  Though 2 Corinthians 5:17 says you are a new creature, and indeed you are, this does not mean you are spiritually minded as you need to be. There is a renewing of the mind process that must happen. It is something that has to take place with everyone that is drawn unto GOD, to serve Him in Spirit and in truth.  This renewing will take you from the old way of thinking and doing things to, the Word says, GOD says, Jesus says, it is written. Only then can you walk fully and faithfully in the calling you are now a part of.  This renewing or transition will not be an overnight process. It will take studying, commitment, time and obedience.  

The reason this renewing process is so important is because all you know as a New Convert is you needed Jesus.  Though you are a new creature the old mindset still lingers to bring you into captivity. You have had many years of trash, junk and ungodliness entering your mind, now you need to put the word of GOD in it. Holiness, righteous, food for the soul, body and mind.
